Handcrafted wooden hot tubs

Today, almost all spas are made from some form of synthetic material.  Traditionally, wooden hot tubs were handcrafted by the finest carpenters to create a soothing environment to soak tired, aching muscles.  Contrary to popular belief, wooden hot tubs are extremely effective at holding in heat.  If you are considering one of these, make sure the wood is at least 1.25 to 1.5 inches thick for maximum efficiency and durability.

One of the best features about wooden hot tubs is that they are mostly custom made meaning you can design the size, shape and depth to your exact specifications.  They will likely be assembled on site for a perfect installation every time.  Increasing the depth will allow for more water meaning you won’t be sitting above it on those cool winter nights.

Some of you may be worried that wooden hot tubs aren’t as clean as synthetic spas.  With proper cleaning and care, they are just as clean if not cleaner than their synthetic cousins.  No matter what type of spa you have, you must do regular maintenance on it including a regimented cleaning schedule.
