Heating any room no matter what the size is difficult but to get the temperature above 100 degrees Celsius is very challenging.  That is why your sauna heaters are very important.  If you want a good hot space, it pays to do your homework during the designing phase to ensure you include the proper sauna heaters that will do the trick.

Sauna heaters are the most important piece of equipment to consider.  Today, the most common forms are wood or electric, however, you can still find oil and gas ones around.  They are mostly designed in a steel casing and are carefully insulated to protect the external casing from the extreme temperature.  The selection of rocks used is also very important.

Here are some tips when choosing stones for your sauna heaters.  First find stones that are more heat resistant than others.  Make sure they are clean and won’t release bad smells when hot and wet.  Use ones that aren’t cracked nor have smooth surfaces.  The rougher the surface the faster steam is released.  Larger stones should go on the bottom while smaller ones go on top for best steam creation.
